Interações hematológicas: impacto das aglutininas vegetais nos eritrócitos

As lectinas vegetais, especialmente aquelas obtidas de Phaseolus lunatus, Phaseolus vulgaris e Vicia faba, apresentam uma importância crucial no campo da medicina devido ao seu potencial para a identificação de grupos sanguíneos, já que elas geram uma conjugação entre proteínas de superfície celular. Portanto, estabelecer métodos de tipagem sanguínea acessíveis, econômicos e eficazes é fundamental em diversas intervenções médicas, como transfusões e transplantes. O objetivo foi avaliar a atividade hemaglutinante das lectinas vegetais em diferentes tipos de eritrócitos humanos (A, B, AB, O), com o propósito de identificar padrões de afinidade. Realizaram-se testes de aglutinação eritrocitária em 97 amostras biológicas (sangue humano) tratadas com EDTA (ácido etilenodiaminotetraacético), utilizando um desenho pré-experimental e transversal analítico. Os resultados mostraram diferenças significativas (p = 0,000), indicando que as lectinas vegetais demonstram um efeito diferente entre elas. Esse resultado foi corroborado por uma análise Post Hoc, que revelou diferenças significativas (p = 0,000) e (p = 1,000), com as comparações mostrando ausência de diferenças no valor (p = 1,000). Em conclusão, existem variações no efeito aglutinante das lectinas vegetais, sugerindo que, enquanto algumas lectinas apresentam variações evidentes, outras podem não ter um impacto significativo, o que possibilita uma investigação mais aprofundada. Portanto, seria pertinente incorporar esses fatores adicionais na análise, a fim de obter uma visão mais completa.
